Temperature in Portugal in October
In October the Portugal temperature can still be ideal in the Algarve although in the north lower temperatures are to be expected. At Praia da Luz the temperature in October ranges on average between 15 and 23 degrees celcius and the Algarve sea temperature is 19 degrees which is the same as the June value making October the ideal time to enjoy wonderful Algarve climate.
In Lisbon the temperature can be between 14 and 22 degrees in October where as one can expect a temperature in Viana do Castelo of between 12 and 21 degrees celcius which is similar to what one can expect in Porto.
On the islands the temperature in Santa Maria in the Acores is a pleasent 17 to 21 degrees where as the highest Portugal temperatures in October are to be expected in Madeira where 18 to 24 degrees is the norm.
Temperature in Portugal in September
The Portugal temperature in September is generally warm although not as hot as in July and August. An average high of 26 degrees can be expected in the Algarve at Faro, Carvoeiro and Albufeira and a low of 19 degrees. The Algarve sea temperature will remain warmer than in the spring at around 21 degrees celcius. The temperature in Sagres in September and the temperature in Lagos in September range between 17 and 27 degrees celcius.
Further north one can expect the temperature in Lisbon to be between 17 and 26 degrees where as the average temperature in Braga and Porto in September ranges between 14 and 24 degrees.
